HBC Church Planting Conference February 21-24

15 02 2010

The blog may be a bit quiet for the next two weeks while we’re gone to the Church Planting Conference at Heritage Bible Church in Greer, SC. I can’t express enough my thankfulness to the Lord for raising up that body of believers that is being used of God to impact the world through church planting and missions. They have a simple passion to magnify Christ in all that they do, and it’s a privilege to be counted part of their family. The conference runs Sunday through Wednesday, February 21-24. A full conference schedule is available here. If you’re in the Greenville area, we’d love to see you.

I am personally looking forward to listening and learning from the other men. We’ll be together with:

And it’s a delight to have Eric & Alicia True with us as well [Grace Bible Church of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, coming fall 2010]. Heritage is graciously “adopting” them as part of the HBC church planting family.

Objectively, we’re all young and dumb. But over the past few years God has been using and refining these families and these churches, and I’m excited to let God teach me through them. Just this morning in our church’s public scripture reading we came across Ecclesiastes 4:13 A poor yet wise lad is better than an old and foolish king who no longer knows how to receive instruction. May God grant us grace to go and receive instruction!
